FloMotion Dance Company
Mother Company of BAU

FloMotion Dance Company originated in Philadelphia during the Fall of 2002. Aleksa "Lex" Chmiel and Tori Closson directed the company until a 2006 hiatus.  Prior to then, FloMotion had a heavy, influential roster which included, Illadelph Legends Festival, NBC10 Fit Festival, "The Goddesses of Hip Hop" Theater Show, and an international performance in Tokyo, Japan just to name a few.

In the summer of 2012, FloMotion made a come back and has been in transitional developments since.  Under the direction of Tori Closson-Simpson and Lisa Urbanowicz, Flo has some of the strongest female hip hop dancers that this area has to offer.  Based in Delaware, the company is excited to begin this new generation with new fire, new passion and new talent.

The new FloMotion has recently performed at The Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY with the Clutch Collective for the Breaking Convention, shared the same stage as an opening act for Ludacris and performed halftime for a celebrity basketball game raising money for charity.

The new Flo shares a respect for the originating founders and members of FloMotion Dance Company proper but is also looking forward to making their own legacy.  Their style and "flo" will continue to stand the test of time and make waves to inspire the future for young female hip hop dance performers.
